The Church on Oakwood

Many thanks to our 'Open the Book' team who led our annual Christingle service last Sunday. It was a happy and joyous event and helped to raise funds for The Children's Society.

The photos show the team on Saturday morning preparing the orange worlds with the fruit and sweets.

Brian Shaw described it as a "very full on" service as there was the baptism of Alfie Thornton included as well! Our prayers go out to Alfie and his family as he begins his journey as a Christian.
